"Why would I take a house from someone else?"
Amirah paused and then asked in disbelief, "Are you saying Lance gifted this villa to you?"

Bettie, ready for the day, strolled into the kitchen and saw Sabrina washing mushrooms. She cleared her throat casually, asking, “Hey, Sabrina, what's cooking?"
“Mushroom soup."
Hearing this, Bettie almost choked. "Why the sudden craving for mushrooms?"
"You wanted mushrooms, didn't you?"
“What? Me? When did I ever crave mushrooms?" Bettie exclaimed, pointing at herself.
"I must have misunderstood. You were tipsy on the phone with Lance last night, blabbering about mushrooms growing... I thought you wanted some." Sabrina shrugged.
