Chapter: 1934
Hearing it out and realizing Lance's connection with Royce, Corless felt a mix of happiness and worry. “Does Miss Nelson have a thing for you? What does Royce think about all this?"

Corless was concerned. If Royce wanted Lance to join the Nelson family through marriage, would Lance's decision to marry Bettie upset the Nelson clan? While Royce might not take action himself, just hinting at his preference could lead someone to target the Ramirez family in order to curry favor with Royce.

“What? If Royce is on Miss Nelson's side, are you gonna just watch Lance marry her?" Bettie asked sarcastically.

"Bettie..." Corless frowned.

“Bettie, don't talk like this to your father. Mr. Ramirez, Mr. Nelson's got his own ideas for Miss Nelson's match, hoping she'd give up on me. Even if Mr. Nelson's on her side, I doubt you would go along with it, right?" Lance pointed out.

Corless nodded. “Lance's got a point. How could I ever split you two up?"

Taking a moment to think, Corless said, "Getting hitched next month's a bit quick but it's doable. What date did you tell Miss Nelson? And at which hotel?"

Lance glanced at Bettie and opted for an earlier date. "October 14th, at Canyon International Hotel."

"That soon? I'm worried it might be booked up by now.."

"Don't sweat it, Mr. Ramirez. I'll sort it out."

Having faith in Lance, Corless said, "That villa must have set you back. If you need a hand with cash, just ask. No need to feel shy."

Wedding venue, feast, dress, and photos, it all added up rather fast.

"Don't worry, Mr. Ramirez. I've got some savings tucked away. I'll reach out if I need help."

With the date locked in, Corless and Amirah briefly chatted wedding plans with Lance.

As they left Bettie's parents’ house, Lance brought up, "Next on the agenda is the wedding photo shoot. Got a spot in mind?"

"No." Bettie shook her head, clueless about the whole scene.

Then, her eyes lit up. "How about we snag some outfits and get Sabrina to shoot us? We'll be her models for the day."

"That could work, long as you trust her skills."

“Absolutely, I do."

Both of them were pretty photogenic, so even an average shutterbug wouldn't mess it up.
