Chapter: 1935
Bettie's eyes gleamed. "Say, don't you have a backup Facebook account? Let me use it for a bit.”
“Why's that?"
“Just something! You don't hide stuff from me there, do you?" Bettie raised an eyebrow.
With a grin, Lance shared his second Facebook account and password.
It was the one he had used to invite Bettie out under the disguise of the blind date.
Logging in, Bettie found she was the only contact, which got a chuckle out of her. “Hmm, interesting." She figured this account was created just for her.
Changing the user's nickname and profile picture, she set her feed to show posts from the last three days only. Then, snapping a picture out the car window, she posted an update to give her profile some life.
Watching her scroll through her phone, Lance suggested, “How about we swing by the supermarket? We can grab some stuff we need for the villa."
The villa came furnished but they still needed basics like bedding, pots, and pans.
"Sure thing," Bettie replied casually.
She'd reached out to Sabrina's assistant through this account. But after waiting a bit with no response, she slipped her phone away.
With just a month till their wedding, they were knee-deep in prep, ranging from the photoshoot and dress fittings to finding an MC and sorting out videography.
With a hefty shopping list for their new pad and already at the store, they decided to buy in bulk to save time later.
Grabbing a couple of comforters, Bettie checked her phone, finding her friend request was accepted. With a grin, she hugged her phone, firing off a text, "Hey! Looking to book Sabrina for my wedding snaps. Any slots open soon?"
Bettie was aware that Sabrina's schedule would only be open until the day after tomorrow, leaving the next two days free.
Despite her internal confusion and myriad questions, Sabrina's assistant replied, “I'm sorry, but Ms. Chavez doesn't typically take on bridal shoots."
“Could you just mention it to her? I really love her style! I'm begging you, please!" Bettie texted back.
"Okay, I'll check with her. But, just so you know, Ms. Chavez is only free tomorrow and the day after. Her schedule's jam-packed for the following week," Sabrina's assistant replied.
"A week later won't work for me, but tomorrow or the day after works perfectly for me!" Bettie texted, beaming and envisioning Sabrina's reaction to the surprise she had for her.
A few minutes later, Sabrina's assistant messaged back, “I'm sorry, but Ms. Chavez has declined. She's been feeling under the weather lately and needs more rest."
