Chapter: 1943
"Bettie."
Bettie figured Sabrina must have figured out who she was. With a tight jaw, she replied, “Really, Sabrina?"
Sabrina brushed off Bettie's hands, faced her, and with a laugh, admitted, “I was just messing with you. I recognized you from the start!"
"Really? Was I that easy to guess?" Bettie couldn't hide her disappointment.
“Absolutely. You can try to change your voice, but it's always going to be you, unless you're an actor or something."
"Alright." Bettie made herself comfortable on the sofa.
“So, why are you here? Are you the one who asked me to shoot your wedding photos?" Sabrina lifted her eyebrows.
Bettie laughed and said, "My wedding is next month. It's only natural we're hurrying for the photos, right?"
"And this morning? What was that about?"
"I wanted to surprise you!"
“Fine, fine. I won't charge you this time. Just don't forget to invite me to your villa for a vacation later on."
“Forget a few days. You're welcome to stay forever if you Like!"
“Forever might be pushing it. I wouldn't want Lance to end up chasing me away." Changing the subject, Sabrina inquired, “Where's Lance? He hasn't shown up yet?"
"He's downstairs."
"Did you bring your wedding dress? And are you planning to do your own hair and makeup?"
"Yes." Bettie gestured toward the makeup box near the door.
"Then, let's head over to the makeup room at the studio next door. You should call Lance to join us."
"Will do."
As they made their way, Sabrina casually asked, "Did you look up any poses or styles for the photo shoot?"
“I've got some ideas saved on my phone. Take a look." After messaging Lance, Bettie passed her phone to Sabrina.
