Chapter: 1960
“Mmm. Sabrina's hands pressed against his chest, feeling his heart's rhythmic beat. Despite her resistance, she felt her resolve waning."
Tyrone felt her begin to relent and slowly eased the intensity of their embrace.
Clasping the woman he cherished, Tyrone wished this moment could Last forever, wishing she would always stay close. Yet, he knew he couldn't force this wish into reality.
He recognized the hesitations and fears harbored in her heart. Their past was complex, laden with issues that prevented her from feeling completely secure with him. She maintained a barrier, allowing him near but not through.
When the moment passed, Tyrone released her, resting his head against her, breathing in deeply to calm his stirred emotions, “I'll drive you home now. No worries."
Sabrina was out of breath, her lips bright and flushed. "Then why are you still hugging me?"
“Sabrina, I'm patient with you. I can wait, but there has to be a deadline for all this," Tyrone said, lifting his gaze to meet hers, his eyes intense. He gently stroked her waist, his touch warm and inviting.
The feeling at her waist intensified, capturing all Sabrina's focus, and making her uneasy. Avoiding his gaze, she muttered. “You... Release me first."
"No," Tyrone responded firmly, edging closer almost as if he wished to merge her into his own body. “Before you go, answer me this... Give me a deadline."
Annoyed, Sabrina glanced up and snapped, “Alright, ten years, is that okay? Now, can you release me?"
Keilani's return was still uncertain, and Sabrina couldn't tell for sure Keilani wouldn't visit Mathias in the future. The document suggested Jennie was Tyrone and Keilani's daughter, a seemingly unchangeable truth.
Sabrina was not as optimistic as Tyrone.
As a young girl visiting her grandparents in the countryside, Sabrina caught wind of some gossip. Neighbor Tracey's daughter defied warnings and chose to be with a divorced man. This man had a son, around three or four years old, who was constantly with him. Despite doubts, Tracey's daughter held onto the belief that with proper care, they could become a true family someday.
However, the ex-wife's visits disrupted this, with the son often wanting his father to join them, blurring the lines of their new family life. As time passed, Tracey's daughter noticed they were all getting along as if they had never been divorced.
Sabrina wasn't concerned about Tyrone having any connection with Keilani. But the idea of Keilani occasionally appearing in her life under the pretext of visiting Jennie made all the romance in Sabrina's heart vanish, leaving only annoyance. So, she decided it was best to keep her distance from Tyrone. They met occasionally to fill the emotional void without disrupting her routine.
"Sabrina, ten years is too Long. Will you reconsider?" Tyrone pleaded gently, undeterred by Sabrina's annoyed tone.
Separated for ten years? Tyrone couldn't agree to that. Ten days sounded more reasonable.
“No! You agreed to let me go once I gave you a deadline."
“Do you truly believe what I told you?"
Hearing this, Sabrina's anger simmered beneath the surface.
