Chapter: 1966
As another hour slipped by without any word, Sabrina felt a surge of concern and dialed Tyrone's number. Upon his answer, she immediately inquired, “Have you found any sign of Jennie?"
"Not yet," he replied, his voice revealing his fatigue. “But don't worry. The police and my team are on it. Royce caught wind of it and started searching for her. Jennie will be safe."
“Alright. I'll be here waiting for any news," Sabrina concluded the conversation.
Tyrone, being Jennie's dad, was undoubtedly the most anxious about Jennie.
When Bettie came in and noticed Sabrina in the living room, she was curious and asked what was happening.
Sabrina shared the concerning news with her.
Sitting down heavily on the couch, Bettie said, "I'll stay up with you, fingers crossed that Jennie is fine."
Despite her current animosity toward Keilani, affecting her view of Jennie, Bettie still wished no harm on Jennie.
“Have you had dinner?" Sabrina inquired, trying to keep the conversation Light.
"Yeah."
Suddenly, a phone started ringing.
Sabrina's hand moved toward her phone instinctively. But then she realized the ringing wasn't from her device.
Bettie looked at her phone, saw Lance was calling, and with a slight frown, she answered. “What's up?"
Lance was straightforward. "The invitations are ready, no new names to add. They're going out tomorrow."
Bettie paused to consider if they had overlooked anything. “Did you write all of them by hand?"
“Yeah, and my hand is aching because of it."
“Well, you were the one who wanted to handwrite them, so you can't blame anyone else."
“Earlier today, I went to see the venue for the wedding..."
Their conversation shifted to wedding preparations.
Eventually, Bettie's patience wore thin, and with a frown, she said, "Organizing a wedding is such a chore. You take care of the rest..."
