Chapter: 1976
Kaleb frowned, turning to his secretary, Allen. "Set up a meeting with Tyrone for tomorrow. I need to talk to him."

Allen nodded, exiting the room and leaving father and son to their thoughts.

The door shut and the suite fell silent again. Tension crept into the air.

Kaleb's deep blue eyes were piercing, resting intently on Lance.

Meeting Kaleb's gaze calmly, Lance asked, “What's up?"

“Why treat your sister like that?" Kaleb questioned, his voice sharp but lacking disdain. If Lance had no other choice, then so be it, but Keilani clearly didn't have to be detained.

“She broke the law. A month's detention is lenient," Lance replied evenly.

Kaleb snorted, a hint of mockery in his tone. "I didn't know you were so righteous."

"I just didn't want to bother my uncle," Lance shot back.

"So, it's not about your uncle, but because the victim was Bettie, right?" Kaleb smirked knowingly. "I heard you splurged a fortune on a villa for her. What's that saying? A generous gesture?"

"Keilani messed up, and as her brother, I have to fix it. That's how it's always been," Lance defended.

"Real noble talk." Kaleb scoffed. "She probably doesn't even know who you really are.

Lance's fists tightened at this remark.

Kaleb pressed on, “It's one thing to spoil women, but hiding your identity and tricking someone into marriage? That's a disgrace to the Wilsons."

In the face of Kaleb's rude comments, Lance stood tall without flinching. "If you brought me here just to diss me, I'm out of here."

"Release your sister, and I'll send her back to Philade pronto,"

Kaleb said firmly.

Lance paused and then turned to him. “Sorry, I can't do that. The cops let her off easy because of my uncle. If you want her out now, talk to him."

"You..."

Under Kaleb's angry stare, Lance left the room.
