Chapter: 2001
She was like a cockroach, lurking in the dark, watching their every move, imagining she was the one by Horace's side.

The more Kira saw, the more she loathed Rita. She was filled with regret. Back then, Rita had got lucky. She thought she should've gotten rid of Rita while she had the chance! All those emotions built up, ready to blow, and the sight of them at that restaurant triggered the explosion.

Tyrone laughed, almost disbelieving. "I think you've lost it." Not wanting to engage further, he turned to leave.

"Stop!" Kira froze for a moment and then yelled, “Stop right there! Do you still see me as your mother?"

But all she got in return was Tyrone's back as he walked away.

"Damn it!" Kira was so angry that she started attacking the nearest car, kicking and punching it like it was her worst enemy.

The noise from her outburst drew the attention of some people passing by.

“What are you staring at?" Kira snapped, hurling insults to chase the passersby off before getting into her car and speeding away.

Sabrina, still in her pajamas, stepped out of the bathroom to find Tyrone sitting on the couch, looking deep in thought. She raised an eyebrow. “You're back already?"

"Yeah."

Sabrina felt something was off. "What were you doing?" He'd come back way too soon for any regular meeting. "What happened to your face?"

Before Tyrone could say anything, Sabrina noticed a mark on his cheek, like a handprint. She went closer to check. She wasn't mistaken. It was a handprint. Had someone hit him?

"I went to see Kira," Tyrone mumbled.

Sabrina had figured as much. No one else would dare slap Tyrone like that. "Was it her who called you during dinner?" she asked.

"Yeah."

“Did she catch us dining together?" Sabrina wondered out loud. If Tyrone came back this fast, Kira must have been right downstairs at the hotel.

"Yeah."

Sabrina could put two and two together. Kira probably tried to make Tyrone leave her.

Without more questions, Sabrina grabbed some anti-inflammatory ointment and a cotton swab from the medicine box. She sat down next to Tyrone. “Turn your head this way so I can put this on."

"Okay."
