Chapter: 2028
“Very soon."

As the time for the ceremony drew near, the emcee instructed all guests to find their seats, and the doors of the banquet hall were promptly closed, ensuring a private and intimate setting for the upcoming nuptials.

Lance, the groom, stood poised at the center of the stage, looking particularly sharp without his usual glasses. His appearance, more distinct and perhaps a touch exotic without the glasses, caught the eye of everyone in the room.

On the video call, Jennie squinted at the groom's image, a line of confusion forming between her brows. Why did the groom resemble her uncle?

"Hey, Sabrina, what's the groom's name? Is it Lance Carter?" Jennie asked, seeking confirmation.

Just then, as the emcee's voice filled the room, the doors at the far end of the banquet hall swung open, revealing the bride, Bettie, who began her slow walk down the aisle with her father.

Applause erupted from the guests, filling the hall with a cheerful din that drowned out Jennie's inquiry on the other end of the call.

As they watched the ceremony, Tyrone leaned closer to Sabrina, his voice barely a whisper against the hum of the festive surroundings.

“When the baby is born, we should have our own wedding too."

They had been legally married for several years before but had never celebrated the occasion with a formal ceremony. Tyrone's thoughts had lingered on giving Sabrina that experience, feeling she deserved the joy and celebration that others had.

Sabrina turned to him, her expression a mix of surprise and contemplation. "I don't remember agreeing to remarry you!"

Her tone was half teasing, half serious. Over the years, she had often felt a pang of regret for not having a wedding, but as time passed, she found the idea less and less significant.

Tyrone didn't know what to say.

Finally, he confessed, “I'm jealous of him, okay?"

Sabrina laughed, rolling her eyes in amusement at his candid admission of envy.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the video call, Jennie was engaged in a different kind of mystery. She held her phone up to Kaleb, asking earnestly, “Grandfather, don't you think the groom looks Like my uncle?"

Kaleb peered closer at the image on the small screen, his eyes narrowing as recognition dawned on him. To his shock, he identified the groom as Lance.

Kaleb snorted. Lance must have cheated his way into this wedding!

"Yes, you are right," Kaleb confirmed to Jennie, who was growing increasingly curious.

"Is that really my uncle? He is in Mathias."
