Chapter: 2061
Bettie did not know what to say. Damn it! This jerk! He had seduced her and now he was rejecting her!

The next day, Lance was tied up with his work.

Bettie spent her day out, enjoying food and drinks. At each scenic location or notable restaurant, she would upload pictures to her social media accounts.

In the evening, Lance fine-tuned the playful and risqué sex product for Bettie for her to have an orgasm, maximizing its capabilities.

By the fifth day, Lance had completed his tasks and joined Bettie for leisure activities.

Two days after, on Friday, they both traveled back to Mathias.

Bettie had arranged with Sabrina that Sabrina and Jennie would visit their new home in River Mansion that coming Sunday.

After school, while Jennie was working on a handcrafted project in the living room, she was thrilled to hear the news.

It had been a while since Jennie last saw Bettie and she was eager to pay a visit to Bettie's new house. While Starriver Bay was impressive, Jennie was simply curious. She was also intrigued to meet Bettie's husband, who resembled her uncle.

Suddenly, a phone rang.

Jennie looked up and saw it was Karen's phone. Karen placed it on the table and went outside to take out the trash.

Jennie remained seated. Karen's phone rang for a bit and then stopped, the screen lighting up with a missed call notification.

Jennie glanced at it and noticed a photo of a little boy with an adorable face. He was Karen's grandson. People often used photos of their loved ones as lock screens and wallpapers.

It struck Jennie that her uncle's phone wallpaper was a photo of him and a girl from their middle school days. That girl looked Like Bettie.

A thought suddenly struck Jennie. Could Bettie's husband actually be her uncle? But her uncle said he spent his middle school years in Philade. And if Bettie's husband was truly her uncle, surely her grandparents would have been at the wedding! Furthermore, her dad had said last time that Bettie's husband and her uncle looked alike. If they were indeed the same person, her dad would have told her the truth!

Shaking her head, Jennie wondered if she was reading too much into things. Yet, it was such a strange coincidence that her uncle's girlfriend resembled Bettie, and Bettie's husband resembled her uncle.

She pushed the thought aside, figuring she'd find out for sure by Sunday !

However, the next morning at the breakfast table, seeing her father, Jennie couldn't resist letting her curiosity have the better part of her. “Dad.”

“\hat?" Noticing his daughter hesitating, Tyrone asked, “What's on your mind, Jennie?"

"You've met both my uncle and Bettie's husband. They.. “You're wondering if they're the same person, aren't you?"
