Chapter: 2063
“But I've told you now," Tyrone said with a smile.

“Then I should tell Sabrina and Bettie!" Jennie suddenly shook her head again. "No, what if they end up getting a divorce?"

"That's hard to say."

"Dad, should I tell them?" Jennie asked, uncertain. She had only met her uncle a few times, but he was always kind and patient with her, nothing like Keilani.

Jennie was torn, her likeness for Bettie genuine. Her uncle had chosen a photo of him and Bettie from middle school as his wallpaper, which clearly showed he held her in great affection. Her uncle shouldn't have to carry the weight of Keilani's actions.

Yet, Bettie deserved to know the truth. If she discovered on her own that her husband was the brother of the person who had wronged her, it could devastate her. Jennie fidgeted with her fingers. What was she to do?

Tyrone arched an eyebrow playfully and teased, "Who was scolding me just a moment ago for keeping secrets?"

Feeling somewhat guilty, Jennie toyed with the hem of her clothes.

Tyrone knew this wasn't a decision Jennie should make on her own. If the truth harmed Bettie and Lance's relationship, it would upset Jennie. Jennie was still young and needed guidance from adults. He said, “Jennie is a good-hearted girl who doesn't want to cause pain, right?"

Jennie nodded.

"But keeping this secret is like sitting on a time bomb. If Bettie eventually learns about Lance's identity from someone else, it could hurt her even more."

Jennie nodded again.

"So, we need to tell Bettie, but it must be done delicately."

"Then... How do we do it gently?" Jennie asked, tilting her head curiously.

"Here's what we can do first..."

At dinner on Saturday, Bettie asked Lance, "Are you available tomorrow?"

“Yes, why do you ask?"

“Sabrina is planning to bring Jennie over tomorrow."

"Got it." Lance looked down. It was finally coming.

Early on Sunday morning, Brenton drove Sabrina to pick up Jennie, and they headed to the River Mansion.
