Chapter: 2114
By the time Tyrone boarded the plane, Lance was about to reach Philade.
Upon landing, Lance headed straight to the hospital.
In the ward, Keilani sat on the bed against a pillow. Her face was pale, and her eyes held a melancholy and distant look.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Zandra tried to comfort Keilani.
“Your dad has booked a ticket for you. Would you like to go and enjoy it? I remember you used to be a big fan of this singer. It's not often she performs..."
Keilani shook her head and remarked, "I'm not interested."
Zandra gazed at Keilani with sadness and sighed. "Where would you like to go? Just tell me."
"I don't want to go anywhere."
Zandra was taken aback. She felt powerless. She had sought advice from a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist suggested that Keilani might be affected by her time in detention and recommended that her family spend more time with her and take her out for relaxation whenever possible.
But despite Zandra's efforts to convince Keilani to go out and relax a bit, Keilani rejected.
Just then, there came a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Zandra asked.
"It's me." Lance's voice echoed from outside the ward.
Zandra's expression darkened. "Come in."
Keilani lowered her head, her eyes sparking with an idea. Soon, she resumed feigning being in a daze, her eyes unfocused.
Zandra shot a look at Lance and said mockingly, “Oh, you came back. I thought you'd completely forgotten about your father and me!"
“How could I forget? You told me to come back, so here I am. Aren't you happy?" Lance replied calmly, acting as if he hadn't picked up her mocking words.
Zandra grew even more furious. Before she could respond, Lance interjected, "Mom, don't get upset. It's not good for your health.”
Lance's words only served to intensify Zandra's anger. Her fury choked her words, her chest heaving.
Lance turned his sharp gaze toward Keilani. “Keilani? Why didn't you greet me?"
