Chapter: 1021
Claudia gradually found solace in his soothing words. With reddened eyes, she nodded and said, “Okay.”
She then took the clothing from Bennett's outstretched hand, paying no heed to her own nakedness.
The two quickly changed into their attire and slipped on their shoes.
Bennett led her downstairs to the garage.
Their black Bentley smoothly exited the villa and navigated through the night. Once on the main road, the Bentley surged forward, resembling a long-hidden leopard, steadily and swiftly heading for the central hospital.
The nighttime road conditions were favorable, and the central hospital was not far. In less than fifteen minutes, they pulled up at the hospital's entrance.
After parking the car, Bennett stepped out and approached Claudia, gripping her chilled hand. Together, they entered the hospital.
Claudia fervently wished in her heart that her father would be alright.
In truth, Claudia had regained much of her composure, yet the grip of fear left her fingers cold.
Bennett's hand was warm and reassuring. It provided her with a sense of calm amid the tension.
The hospital exuded a hushed tranquility in the nighttime hours, its various departments having closed for the day.
Jace had been transported to the hospital by ambulance, and Bennett quickly found out that he was in the operating room.
Following the nurse's directions, he led Claudia toward the operating room.
Just before they reached the operating room's entrance, Claudia spotted the familiar figure of the butler, Elmo.
Earlier that day, Chana discovered that Jace had fainted at home.
Thankfully, Elmo had reacted swiftly, dialing the emergency medical number, which led to Jace's prompt transfer to the central hospital for treatment.
"Elmo,"
"Mr. and Mrs. Dreskin."
At the sight of Claudia, Elmo was able to feel relieved.
“How's my father, Elmo?"
Claudia had never felt this scared before. When she spoke, her voice was trembling.
Able to feel her fear, Bennett placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
"Your father has been sent to the operating room. At the moment, I have no idea what's going on."
In fact, Jace had been transported to the hospital not long before their arrival, approximately ten minutes earlier.
