Breck started the car and drove in the direction of Aurora's place.

It took them only ten minutes to get to her home from the restaurant.

He parked the car and glanced at Aurora, who was trying to turn her phone on.

“Don't waste your time on that. It's lost its charge."

Aurora turned to him and said, "Thank you for driving me home. I'll treat you to dinner another day."

Breck waved his hand but did not refuse.

Shrugging, Aurora stepped out of the car and closed the door. She then entered her apartment, holding her phone, which had shut off automatically.

Even though the client had not really taken advantage of her, she still felt sickened whenever she remembered his hand on her thigh.

Therefore, the first thing she did when she got home was hop in the shower. A few minutes later, she was stepping out of the bathroom when the doorbell rang.

It was already late at night, so Aurora hesitated to open the door.

She secured the anti-theft lock and opened the door slightly. She only opened it fully when she saw Breck.

“What are you doing here?"

“I don't want you to disturb Bennett and his wife's evening, so I'm wondering if you need some company."

For a moment, Aurora did not know what to say.

She just stared at Breck speechlessly.

Suddenly, the urge to shut the door on his face rose within her.

After his shower, Bennett emerged, but Claudia still hadn't heard back from Aurora.

Setting her phone aside, she asked, “Bennett?”

Hearing his name, Bennett looked over, replying softly, "What?"

"Well... Isn't your father's birthday in this week?"

"Yeah, it's on Friday."

Claudia bit her lip and blinked at him, then inquired, “Are you planning to go?"
