Chapter: 1037
Aurora's ire was quickly aroused by his words. Before she could say anything, however, Breck stepped forward and asked, “Is he your boss?"

Aurora returned her attention to him and shook her head.

"No. He's just a stup-I mean, he's a client.”

She nearly said the word "stupid." Thankfully, she stopped herself in time.

Breck shot the client a glare.

"How dare you flirt with my woman?

Don't you know who I am?"

In fact, the client had already recognized the other man after his insulting words. There were only two young men from the Santos family, and Breck was a well-known figure in the upper-class circle.

Almost stammering, the client asked, “You know Miss Haywood, Mr. Santos?"

“That's none of your business. The next time you cause trouble for her, you'll get more than this!" After saying that, Breck kicked the client in the gut.

The short and chubby man instantly fell to the floor. Breck then grabbed Aurora's wrist. Together, they walked away from the client.

Because of what he said, not only would the client be afraid to cause trouble for Aurora, but so would the employees of the company she was working for.

The client tried to get up but failed because of the pain in the area where Breck had kicked him. Aurora's coworkers watched him struggle for a while before approaching him to help him.

Breck dragged Aurora out of the restaurant and to his waiting car.

He opened the door to the passenger seat and instructed, “Get in.”

Instead of doing as she was told, Aurora lowered her head and said, “Thank you, Mr. Santos."

"Don't sweat it. Get in the car. I'll drive you home."

She had just washed her face, so when the nighttime wind hit her, she shivered a little.

"You don't have to do that. I'll just take a cab. It's late; you should be going home, too," Aurora remarked while smoothing her hair back.

“Don't waste your time trying to stop me. I'll drive you home even if you refuse."

Aurora gaped at him.

It seemed that she could never maintain proper decorum in front of him.

As she got in the car, Aurora inquired, "Do you remember where I live?"

Breck chuckled, commenting, “You were just saying no earlier."
