Chapter: 104
Such a waste.
Bennett moved her plate towards him, saying, "You don't have to force yourself to eat if you're already full.”
Following that, Bennett had a waiter bring a glass of juice for Claudia. Claudia could feel her face flushing.
Now everyone at the table was aware that she was full, making her feel like an overindulgent foodie.
As Mathews was fiddling with his phone, he suddenly looked up and smiled at her. "You're full?"
If not for the numerous eyes on her, Claudia would have wished to hide her face in the plate.
So embarrassing!
Overhearing Mathews, the man who had been consuming Claudia's leftovers lifted his head.
He put down his fork and ceased eating. He then placed his hand on the back of Claudia's chair.
Curiously, Mathews nudged Miguel, who was engaged in contract discussions, and asked, “Did you bring any digestive enzyme pills?"
After a pause, Miguel glared at Mathews and procured the bottle of pills. He asked someone to hand it over to Claudia.
Feeling a bit unwell, Claudia had no choice but to accept it. "Thank you."
As Mathews shot a glance at Bennett, he noticed the man had removed his hand from Claudia's chair and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt.
The first button of his crisp shirt was undone. With his index finger, Bennett pushed back his collar, revealing a lipstick mark on it.
The lipstick mark on Bennett's collar hadn't escaped Mathews' notice.
Their companions were engrossed in contract discussions, wisely sidestepping the personal drama unfolding before them.
As Mathews gazed at the Lipstick mark, a carefree smile curled his lips as he held his phone in hand.
Rubbing her stomach discreetly, Claudia felt that something was wrong. Her gaze shifted to Mathews, who was fixedly observing Bennett. Intrigued, she followed his line of sight and instinctively glanced at Bennett.
She tilted her head slightly and caught sight of a distinct lipstick mark on Bennett's collar.
It felt like she had been hit by a bolt of lightning, leaving her dumbfounded.
A blush instantly bloomed on her cheeks. Despite her makeup, the redness was unmistakable.
Her complexion was lightly made up for the evening, which rendered her blush even more obvious.
