Chapter: 1049
As she left, she realized the exit led to the outpatient clinic instead of the in-patient department.
Once she identified the way to the in-patient department, she turned around and came face to face with someone she recognized.
Xavier looked at the person in front of him and greeted, "Miss Marshall."
Claudia acknowledged Felicity, standing next to him, with a nod.
“Hi, Mr. Hinchcliffe."
"Are you not feeling well?"
"No, my dad's hospitalized."
Claudia wasn't well-acquainted with him. They exchanged brief pleasantries before parting ways.
As Claudia walked off, Felicity asked with a hint of irritation, "Xavier, how did you two get acquainted?"
To her surprise, Xavier was watching Claudia leave and didn't hear her at all.
Even though Felicity held no fondness for Claudia, seeing her brother so enchanted made her snap, "Xavier! Have you fallen for her?"
She was aware that her brother was quite a womanizer, easily falling for any attractive woman he met.
While she couldn't deny Claudia's allure, Felicity hadn't forgotten the humiliation she suffered at Claudia's hands during a shopping trip. She was adamant that Xavier should never be with someone Like Claudia!
Only when Felicity tugged on his shirt did Xavier finally redirect his attention. Facing his visibly upset sister, he inquired, "Do you know her?"
“Why would I? I've never met her before!"
Xavier was familiar with his sister's personality, so when she spoke like that, he understood that there was tension between them.
He clicked his tongue and said, “You've only been in Linmarsh for a short time and you've already started picking fights?"
Felicity was stunned that Xavier would suggest she was the bully without even hearing her side. Feeling aggrieved, she retorted, "What's that supposed to mean? I never picked fights with her! It was her who picked fights with me! You have no idea how far she went!"
"Is that so?"
Clearly, Xavier didn't buy her story. He remarked, "I'd be interested to hear how she managed to get under your skin. You're usually the one to get others first. It's not often the roles are reversed."
He took a moment, then added teasingly, "You know, if she became my wife, perhaps you'd be a bit less troublesome."
When she heard his words, Felicity's face changed.
“Are you crazy?
She wants to flaunt her Maserati at any time. Is she really the kind of woman you'd consider to marry? Or have your years of playing around with women clouded your judgment?"
