Chapter: 1064
He sounded as if Claudia had just used some excuse to send him away.
That said, Bennett turned and left, leaving Claudia to look at his back with guilt.
Then, she turned to Zaria with a smile and walked away with her.
Zaria gnashed her teeth and cursed under her breath, "That jerk!"
Why was she just finding out that Bennett was so stingy?
Claudia only vaguely heard her voice and raised her brows questioningly.
"What was that? I didn't get you."
Zaria certainly didn't want to pull Claudia's attention to Bennet again. She smiled and shook her head.
“Nothing. Come on, let's go and see my parents. They will be very happy to see you."
Claudia nodded and followed her. She was pleasantly surprised that Zaria could still recall what happened five years ago, and was still so grateful.
If Zaria was so grateful, then her parents must be good people.
Since they had been wanting to meet her, it would be good to satisfy them.
"Okay, let's go." Claudia smiled at her.
As they moved between the crowd, people looked at them, jealous of the way Zaria treated Claudia.
The Santiago family and the Dreskin family had been friends for more than 20 years. Since today was Benico's birthday, Zaria's parents' was a must presence.
Zaria sent her eyes around as they walked, trying to find her parents.
"Dad, Mom, what are you doing here?" she asked when she finally saw them.
"I've been looking everywhere for you."
The couple, Hans Santiago and Clara Santiago were talking to an acquaintance when their daughter joined them. The person they were talking to subtly left.
Hans turned to his daughter with a smile and asked, "Why were you looking for us?"
"You always wanted to meet the person that saved me from drowning all those years ago. Well, here she is. Cece, meet my parents. Dad, Mom, this is Claudia Marshall. She was the one who saved me five years ago, and is now Bennett's wife."
The last part was said with a bit of reluctance, as though she didn't want to say it.
However, the introduction wasn't necessary as Hans and Clara already knew that Claudia was Bennett's wife. They had long wanted to visit Claudia to express their gratitude, but Zaria stopped them. She had argued that it would make a big deal, and that Claudia wouldn't Like it. So they ended up giving up on the idea.
After that, they didn't get a chance to meet Claudia in person and express their heartfelt gratitude.
