Chapter: 1070
Claudia peered out and quickly understood. She then shyly asked, "Do you want to do some shopping?"
Bennett just shook his head. He wanted to smoke a cigarette but refrained due to Claudia's presence.
The lighting was dim, casting shadows within the vehicle.
The man lowered his eyebrows. While Claudia couldn't see his eyes, she could unmistakably sense his displeasure.
Pausing for a moment, she asked, “Bennett, are you unhappy?"
Hearing her, he glanced her way. Instead of replying to her question, he countered, “Would you come with me somewhere?"
“Of course."
Claudia had known Bennett for a long time, yet this was the first time she'd witnessed him so depressed.
Claudia didn't know what had happened, so she didn't know how to console him.
The car resumed its journey, and after about twenty minutes, came to a halt.
Claudia acted cleverly this time. She glanced out of the window to verify their Location.
However, outside the car, it was dark, and there were no visible signs.
If it weren't for Bennett accompanying her, she might have thought the person who brought her here had ill intentions.
Switching off the engine, Bennett didn't get out of the car in a hurry, saying, "Today is the anniversary of my mother's death."
Claudia was stunned and looked forward subconsciously.
This time, she finally knew where she was.
It was a cemetery.
She also knew why Bennett brought her here.
With her Lips pursed, Claudia reached out and gently touched his hand.
"Should we go in to visit your mom?"
Smiling faintly, Bennett responded, "The cemetery gates are locked.
We can't enter."
Looking at him, Claudia asked tentatively, "Shall we climb over the wall?"
They celebrated Benico's birthday today, and yet it was also the day Bennett lost his mother.
