Chapter: 1091
Claudia also thought of this problem. She turned to look at the man beside her and thought for a while before saying, "Marcia, perhaps you could whip up some noodles? There are frozen shrimps in the fridge, right? Maybe make some salted shrimps and a steamed egg dish?"
Seeking Bennett's opinion, she asked hesitantly, "Would that be alright?"
Bennett had a preference for mild flavors, and all the dishes were on the lighter side.
Bennett nodded, unbuttoned his collar and nodded, "Okay."
Marcia let out a sigh of relief and agreed.
“Alright, I'll get to it right away."
Claudia looked at Marcia's back and didn't take her eyes off Marcia until she entered the kitchen.
Bennett gave her a glass of water. After a little sip, she asked, “Should we wait a bit before lunch?"
“I'm not particularly hungry yet."
Claudia wasn't particularly hungry either, having had her breakfast past nine.
Thinking of this, she felt embarrassed.
They'd gone to bed at roughly the same time, yet Bennett always managed to start his day so much earlier.
Compared to him, she really felt like she wasted a lot of time!
From tomorrow, Claudia resolved to get up early.
Seeing Claudia lost in thought, nibbling on her glass, Bennett couldn't help but chuckle.
He sipped some water himself and placed the glass back down. Drumming his index finger on the table, he inquired, “Do you have any plans for the afternoon?"
“What?” Upon hearing this, Claudia paused for a moment. Then, she shook her head and replied, "No."
“How about horse riding?"
“That sounds great."
The day was perfect for it.
Thinking that she would ride a horse in the afternoon, Claudia was overjoyed.
After lunch, she spent some time practicing in the piano room and then headed to the racecourse at two o'clock.
Bennett proved to be an excellent instructor. Having learned the basics from him before, Claudia felt more confident. Now, after a brief ride with him, she felt brave enough to try riding by herself.
Noticing Claudia's wandering thoughts, Bennett gently stopped the horse, guiding it to a cooler spot under a tree.
