Chapter: 111
A smirk played on Bennett's lips. “Did you learn your lesson?" Witnessing his smile, Claudia sighed with relief. She massaged her aching forehead and admitted, "Yes."
It was a painful experience she wouldn't soon forget.
After a while, Bennett's smile faded and he inquired, “Did it hurt a Lot?"
Claudia released her forehead and answered, “It's bearable." Truthfully, it had only hurt when their heads collided.
"It appears I didn't use enough force then.”
Claudia was left speechless.
Her expression darkened.
What a ruthless man!
Silence blanketed the car once more, however, this time the ambiance was noticeably less tense.
Claudia felt her forehead again, relieved to find that the pain had subsided.
As she lowered her hand, it inadvertently brushed against Bennett. Their proximity was rather tight!
“Apologies. I'll move over a little," Claudia uttered, shuffling to create some space.
Nevertheless, she felt it wasn't sufficient. With merely 10 centimeters separating them, they were still practically shoulder to shoulder. Just as she was considering moving further away, Bennett's voice interrupted, "Tomorrow's Friday, isn't it?"
Confused by his sudden statement, Claudia responded, “Yes, indeed! Time really flies."
Her gaze lifted to meet his deep-set eyes.
Her heart thudded. A realization hit her in the next moment. She was scheduled to move in with Bennett on Saturday!
With this thought, her mood took a turn for the worse.
Sensing her discomfort, Bennett advised, “Don't forget to pack your bags tomorrow. Remember, you're moving to my place this Saturday.” “Okay. I see,"
Claudia replied, feeling a bit defeated.
Her anticipated delightful Friday was now overshadowed by this daunting task.
Amid their conversation, the car swerved abruptly to the left. Caught off guard, Claudia lost her balance and was thrown into Bennett as she failed to grab the armrest. @
The aroma of wood filled her senses.
