Chapter: 1118
Claudia touched her now hot earlobes and pushed the attention back on Aurora.
“I thought you said you would ask Breck to introduce a boyfriend to you. What are you waiting for?"
"I've been too busy lately to talk about these things," Aurora answered in a low voice.
"How Long will it take for you to complete the new project."
Claudia took a sip of water and said over the rim of her glass, "I can't remember the last time you got so busy."
“You're right. I should be fine after I complete this project,"
Aurora replied, drinking water as well and avoiding Claudia's gaze.
As she dropped the glass, she quickly changed the topic.
"So will you attend the piano competition this year?"
Touching the edge of the class, Claudia shook his head.
"I won't.
Perhaps next year."
She had been famous for a long time, and had won almost all the prizes she deserved. A few years ago, she started acting like an ascetic and it made her realize that she had to slow down and enjoy life. That was what she had been doing for the past two years.
“It's good you don't participate. At least no one will look down on you," Aurora answered.
This prize had always been a controversial one. It was said that Claudia was able to win the prize only because she was the only contestant of the country. The prize wasn't very valuable. Anyone who put some efforts into it could win it.
However, Claudia didn't care about it. She just shrugged nonchalantly.
The fact was that she wouldn't take part in the competition this year. Perhaps next year too. She would leave a chance for the newcomers to win the prize.
Since they hadn't seen each other for a long time, they chatted a lot and caught up on a lot of things.
Unfortunately, they had to cut their conversation short since Aurora still had to go back to work.
Claudia drove Aurora to her company and they reluctantly separated.
Claudia looked at her friend through the windshield, then Looked at the time. It was almost two o'clock and it hadn't started raining yet.
After taking a deep breath, Claudia started the car and drove off.
Not long after she got to the main road, it began to rain.
It was raining so heavily, as if the sky was torn apart and someone was pouring water from it.
