Chapter: 1119
It was the first time that Claudia had driven through such pouring rain. She cautiously slowed down.

Out of a sudden, the car stopped. She reacted quickly, turning on the emergency flasher and pulling up to the side of the road.

Before she could park properly though, the car completely stopped.

Since she had no traffic cone in the car, she left the hazard lights on and got out of the car with an umbrella.

Then, she walked to the side of the roadside and called the towing company to tow her car.

The downpour was really heavy. Even with the umbrella over her head, Claudia was soon wet up to her knees.

She didn't feel cold when she left the house this morning. But right now, standing under the rain, and with the harsh wind, she was whipped with the cold.

After calling the towing company, she thought of sending a message to Bennett but hesitated. She didn't want him to worry about her.

Thinking of the last time she took Xavier to the hospital, she quickly sent a message to Bennett.

She didn't want him getting angry again.

Talking of the devil, Xavier looked out of the window of his black Maybach after hanging up on the phone.

He noticed the eye-catching Maserati on the road and couldn't help but admire it.

He wondered who the unfortunate stranded person was.

As the car slowly drove past it, he noticed a familiar figure just ahead and ordered, "Stop the car."

The driver had been driving quite slowly since the road was slick with rain.

So he quickly pulled over without any difficulty at Xavier's order.

The secretary in the front passenger seat was a little surprised and confused.

"Mr. Hinchcliffe?"

"Give me an umbrella," Xavier said.

Even more confused, the secretary still picked up the umbrella and handed it to Xavier.

The next second, Xavier opened the door and walked up to Claudia with the umbrella in hand.

"Miss Marshall?"

The umbrella she was holding was certainly not doing its job. With the heavy rain, coupled with the strong wind, even her hair was wet.

Looking inexplicably pitiful, she raised her beautiful eyes to see the man that called her.
