Chapter: 1143
The doctor confirmed that Jace could leave the next day if he felt alright.
Nevertheless, following discharge from the hospital, the patient should prioritize self-care and avoid engaging in any strenuous activities for the next three months.
Claudia thought Jace must be finding it boring to remain in the hospital all day, so she decided he could head home the day after tomorrow.
Being an avid fisherman, Jace had a routine of fishing weekly.
However, his hospital stay meant he hadn't even glimpsed his fishing rod in over a week, much less gone fishing.
Upon hearing Claudia's decision about his discharge day, Jace responded with a touch of melodrama, "Cece, I can rest just as well at home. Why extend my hospital stay by another day? It's always crowded here, and the environment isn't as comfortable as being at home. Since the doctor said it was fine, I'll be able to leave the hospital tomorrow. I mean, look at this-I've been stuck in this bed for so long that I've practically shredded the sheets from sheer boredom."
Claudia was amused.
"Don't lie to me! The hospital swaps out their bed sheets daily. And you underwent surgery two days ago. Even if they didn't change them daily for you, they would've provided fresh ones then."
Jace responded with mock despair, "I fear my fishing rod is rusting away!"
“Your rod isn't made of iron! What's more, I can get you as many fishing rods as you desire!"
With a hint of hope, Jace turned to Bennett and said, “What do you think, Bennett?"
After glancing at Claudia, Bennett grinned at Jace, saying, “At home, Cece's the one who makes the decision."
Jace exhaled with a hint of resignation, "Guess I'd lose even if we put it to a vote!"
Claudia responded with a smug chuckle, "It's good that you know it!
Just rest here for two more days, and then you can head home."
"My beloved daughter has the last word. What choice do I have?" Jace said with a grin.
“Now, head on home. Let this patient get some peace and rest."
Hearing that, all Claudia could reply with was, “Alright, we're leaving!"
"Drive carefully!"
"Okay! And remember, if something feels off, tell the doctor right away."
"Time to go," Claudia said to Bennett.
The two of them left the ward one after the other. Jace signaled Elmo to draw the curtains so he could nap undisturbed.
As Claudia and Bennett stepped out of the elevator, a beautiful woman entered.
The woman looked at them, offered them a smile and proceeded inside.
