Chapter: 1145
Claudia's eyes widened in disbelief, and she looked at him.
"You're the worst!"
He didn't say anything, but his coy smile and that he didn't deny her comment told her what she needed to know.
They made their way to the car, side by side, talking and laughing, and Bennett opened the door for her to get in the passenger seat.
After they were both seated in the car and he looked up after fastening his seatbelt, Claudia leaned over and quickly pecked him on the cheek. Withdrawing shyly, she reminded him, "Don't forget to keep it a secret for me!"
Bennett raised his hand to touch his cheek, a pleasant smile on his face.
"Okay."
However, this "compensation" was far too cheap.
Around the same time, a package was being delivered to the Dreskin family's villa.
The package was addressed to Benico Dreskin, and the information on it revealed that the sender resided in the same city as they did, which was interesting.
When Jolie went back inside the villa with the package, she bumped into Benico, who was descending the stairs.
“Benico, a package arrived for you."
As she placed the package down, she muttered questioningly, "Did you buy something online?"
Benico frowned.
"I'm not like you. I don't like shopping."
Jolie pursed her lips. This was strange.
"Then you can open it yourself!"
Benico didn't try to refuse because he was also curious about what it was and who could have sent it to him.
Initially, he assumed the sender must be Bennett. After all, considering the timing, he was admitted to the hospital two days ago and hadn't returned home until today.
He reasoned that perhaps Bennett cared about him but was too awkward to verbalize it, so he sent a gift instead.
But when Benico pried open the package, he didn't see a gift, but a tablet PC nestled inside. His face darkened.
"Who played such a trick?"
Jolie returned with a glass of water and heard his tone.
"What's wrong? Why are you angry? You just recovered enough to leave the hospital."
