"This is my assistant, Joann Norris."

Denby Quinn gave Joann a quick glance before shrugging.

"I guess you're fine as long as you know the basics about music. Let's not waste any more time and start now."

Claudia was a little surprised, but she did not show it on her face.

“Sure."

“Where are the others?" Joann asked.

Denby did not respond to her inquiry. Claudia turned to Joann, a smile on her face, "Maybe Mr. Quinn records it himself."

Claudia's assumption that Denby was the only one responsible for the recording was correct.

Even if the other party offered a price that was not particularly high, the recording equipment was not inferior to what Mathews had.

Claudia played the piano and concluded that it was a high-quality instrument as well.

However, Claudia was unable to determine the piano's make because there was no identifying brand on the instrument.

She did not want to ask Denby about it because he did not seem very friendly.

After spending some time becoming acclimated to the piano, she started playing the piece.

Even though Denby came across as a bit odd, the cooperation was efficient.

They tackled two pieces, and during the recording, Claudia played each thrice. Once Denby had listened, he consented to make the payment.

The whole affair wrapped up in under an hour. When Claudia heard his affirmation, she wondered if she'd misunderstood. In disbelief, she queried, "Mr. Quinn?"

He shot her a brief look and instructed, "Display the QR code."

At that moment, Claudia grasped that it was genuinely done and dusted.

It was too fast for her to react.

She quickly showed the QR code to Denby. Then, she received a transfer of one hundred thousand dollars from him.

After settling the bill, Denby noticed that she was still lingering.

He raised an eyebrow and said, “Miss Marshall, our collaboration is over. You may leave now."

Caught off guard by the abruptness, Claudia managed a nod. But without another word, he spun on his heels towards the studio.

She didn't want to inconvenience him any further, so she turned and descended the stairs.
