Chapter: 1192
With a mix of embarrassment and distress, Claudia bit her Lip.
Looking at the red tip of her nose, Bennett felt remorseful for teasing her when he was drunk. “I'm sorry."
Gently, he leaned forward and placed a kiss on her eye, leading Claudia to close her eyes instinctively.
Feeling the warmth of his lips on her eyelid, she experienced a slight shiver.
Bennett embraced her firmly, saying, “I've had too much to drink. I'm not making much sense."
His apology was soft, sincere.
Opening her eyes, Claudia drew in a long breath, her voice barely above a whisper. "I apologize."
"Claudia, there's never a reason for you to apologize to me." He brushed his fingers tenderly against her cheek. "Moreover, you're not wrong."
Known for her resilience against pressure but openness to reason, Claudia quickly sought to clarify, “I'm sorry. I shouldn't have run back to my dad's house."
She turned her eyes away and said, “I remember everything from Last night. I'm just too embarrassed to look at you."
Her candid words made Bennett laugh. “Why do you have to feel embarrassed? We're a couple, remember?"
Claudia bit her lip and said nothing.
She had been so anxious to have sex with him the previous night.
To put it more precisely, ever since she'd met Bennett, she wanted to have sex with him.
As she pondered, her ears blushed a fiery red that soon colored her cheeks as well.
But what was done was done; there was no running from it.
In that moment, Claudia thought it through.
She peered up at Bennett once more, wrapped her arms around his neck, and nestled her face into his neck, murmuring, "Do you think I'm a little two-faced?"
"Are you like this with everyone else too?"
She shook her head, her short hair brushing against Bennett's skin along with her breath, causing a ticklish sensation.
He dipped his head to meet her gaze, the one who was oblivious to the whole truth. He took a slight breath, then whispered in a softer tone, “If your deceit is reserved just for me, then isn't it okay?"
Claudia hugged him tighter, pressing herself against him, her hair tousled. She tilted her head to look at him, saying, “Bennett, I have a secret to tell you."
Bennett lowered his head, studying the woman nestled in his embrace.
His eyes darkened at the sight of her reddened lips.
