He shifted his gaze and focused on her slightly tousled hair. While helping her smooth it down, he asked, “What secret?”

Claudia bit her lower Lip, stealing a glance at him. Blushing, she whispered into his ear, “When I first laid eyes on you, I wanted to touch your Adam's apple."

Hearing her words, Bennett let out a soft chuckle.

His laughter rang in her ears, and Claudia's face grew redder. "Well, was I too candid?"

Never before had she entertained such carnal thoughts or felt intense desires, even though she had loved Anthony for so many years.

Bennett erupted in laughter, unable to contain himself.
