Chapter: 120
Satisfied with her pale reflection in the mirror, she slipped into a white dress.
Then she went to the Azuba Company with the letter of termination.
Once the meeting had drawn to a close, Kase held back an impending comment, reconsidering his choice of words.
Anthony appeared weary and disinterested, asking, "What's going on?" “Miss Lopez requests your presence, sir."
“I have no desire to meet her!" Anthony retorted, a feeling of revulsion creeping up as Delilah's name echoed in his ears.
His heart was filled with regret when he remembered waking up the previous morning, finding Delilah unclothed next to him. It wasn't guilt that plagued him, but a deep sense of disgust.
His contempt for her was unparalleled. He regretted having betrayed Claudia for her.
For the first time, there was no shred of sympathy towards Delilah. When he heard her sobbing apologies, he only wished for her silence.
In fact, he did more than just wish, he coldly demanded her silence. It was the first instance he had treated her with such cold-hearted disdain and asked her to leave.
He had assumed she would avoid his presence after such an encounter, but it seemed he had overestimated her sense of self-respect.
At noon the previous day, scandalous images and videos of him and Delilah had surfaced online.
Their affair was public knowledge now.
A full day had passed since, and he had not mustered up the courage to reach out to Claudia.
He couldn't conjure up an excuse.
How could Delilah even come to him now?
Was she here to invite trouble?!
Kase was taken aback. This was the first time Anthony had outright refused to meet Delilah.
But he didn't dare question it. The online scandal was far too wide-reaching, and Anthony's mood had been sour since the news broke.
Once Anthony declared his unwillingness to see Delilah, Kase complied, "Understood, sir."
Upon his words' conclusion, Kase made his exit, planning to have the security personnel escort Delilah out before she crossed paths with Anthony again.
However, he barely made it a few paces away when Anthony's voice echoed behind him. "Wait! Bring her to my office!”
“As you wish, sir," Kase responded, halting his steps.
