Chapter: 121
Anthony stormed off to his office, visibly annoyed. He didn't wish to see Delilah, but the fear of her revealing something to Claudia was far greater.
Shortly after, Kase arrived, escorting Delilah.
“Anthony, I apologize. I know I shouldn't have come, but I had no other option.
The moment Delilah stepped into the room, she was engulfed in a wave of tears. Feeling awkward, Kase quickly exited, leaving the two alone.
Again, Delilah was pleading for forgiveness!
Looking at Delilah's frail expression, Anthony felt nothing this time. It dawned on him that Delilah's pitiful demeanor was nothing but an act to gain his sympathy.
Claudia had once accused Delilah of this very act, but he had refused to believe her!
With this realization, Anthony's expression turned icy. “Just spit it out. Tears won't fix anything.”
He didn't offer her comfort like before. Delilah was taken aback and found herself at a Loss, unsure whether to continue crying.
Taking note of Anthony's frosty demeanor, Delilah finally managed to control her tears and handed him the termination letter, stammering, “Anthony, I... I don't know what to do anymore! I... I don’t mean to coerce you. I just... I can't handle the compensation! I... I came to you today to borrow some money!"
She bit her Lower lip, her gaze Lowered in humiliation, refusing to meet Anthony's eyes.
Anthony took the termination papers from her hands, quickly skimming through them. "How much do you need?"
“T Delilah's face brightened up. She raised her head, Looking at Anthony hopefully.
Twenty million dollars."
Anthony lit a cigarette and announced, “I'll give you thirty million dollars, but on one condition.
Never appear in front of me and Claudia again."
Delilah was taken aback. "Why?"
She had believed she would become Anthony's wife after what had happened.
And now he was casting her aside?
Inhaling a puff from his cigarette, Anthony replied, "No reason. If you agree, I'll have Kase transfer thirty million dollars to your account immediately. If you disagree, I can't do anything to assist you."
His eyes were devoid of any sympathy, replaced with a calculating gaze.
Delilah knew she had no other option. Her heart dropped.
