Chapter: 1229
Leaning forward, Xavier picked up the glass of water on the table before him. Taking a small sip, he inquired, “Bennett Dreskin?"

"Yes, Mr. Hinchcliffe."

Staring at the river view below, Xavier hesitated before finally deciding. “Tell him I accept."

He wasn't familiar with Bennett. They had only exchanged casual greetings during their few encounters, with limited interaction beyond that.

There was almost no collaboration between Toryea Group and Segarine Group. Xavier found it peculiar that Bennett suddenly invited him to Lunch.

Nevertheless, he thought Bennett was worth meeting.

Once inside the piano room, Claudia was unable to focus on playing.

After half an hour, she stopped.

Nervously, she scanned the room, relieved that Bennett wasn't in the piano room.

Eventually, she picked up her phone and left the piano room, heading back to the master bedroom.

But to her surprise, the room was empty.

Confused, Claudia thought for a while and decided to check the study, where she found no one inside.

At this late hour, the house was dimly lit, indicating Marcia had already left for the night, leaving only a single night Lamp illuminated on the first floor.

Descending the stairs, Claudia knew that Bennett wasn't on the first floor because the light was off.

Frowning, she felt unsure of where Bennett could be.

Standing in the middle of the stairs, she hesitated before turning and heading back upstairs.

Once she reached the second floor, Claudia spotted Bennett emerging from the master bedroom.

"Are you looking for me?" he asked.

Embarrassed, Claudia asked, “I thought you weren't in the bedroom."

"I was on the balcony."

No wonder she didn't see him!

“Have you finished practicing the piano?" he asked.

Claudia felt nervous, and her ears burned. "I practiced for a little bit."

“Have you finished?"
