Chapter: 1237
Despite the tense situation, Claudia remained composed and level- headed. Even when Bennett's mother confronted her, Claudia didn't show fear or back down.

Additionally, Claudia has been happily married to Bennett for some time now and had no romantic interest in Xavier. She even preferred to limit her interactions with him.

In the face of the confrontation and accusations from Xavier's sister and mother, Claudia didn't feel embarrassed in the least bit. She found the situation somewhat comical due to its absurdity.

Unable to hide her amusement, a subtle smile crept onto her face.

Due to her upbringing, Claudia only smiled euphemistically. It was only a brief smile that she quickly suppressed.

Although the smile was fleeting, both Felicity and her mother noticed it.

Felicity's face darkened as she questioned, “What's so funny? Are you really that shameless? Don't you feel any shame after what I just said?"

"Why should I feel ashamed?" Claudia asked with an innocent expression that feigned confusion.

Hannah grew increasingly frustrated with Claudia's seemingly “thick- skinned" demeanor. She interjected, "In this society, people value preserving one's honor. I assume you're an intelligent woman. If we were to speak candidly, it would be rather unpleasant to hear. I'm trying to show you some respect, considering your youth and beauty.

However, I didn't expect you to be so shameless. So, don't blame me for being straightforward."

Compared to Felicity, her mother was more articulate and diplomatic in her speech.

It was the first time Claudia had encountered such an intriguing situation. Suddenly, an idea crossed her mind, and she deliberately straightened her posture, ready to play along. “Well then, I shall listen attentively."

Her impenitent attitude irritated Hannah. Her eyes narrowed with growing irritation. "Since you insist on being brazen, don't blame me for what I'm about to say! A woman like you could never marry into the Hinchcliffe family. Xavier is a playboy, and I've seen many of his ex-girlfriends. They were all stunning. Your looks wouldn't even rank in the top three among them."

Claudia let out a genuine sigh and responded, "Your son has good taste."

Hannah's eyes widened in disbelief at Claudia's audacity, and her face darkened even further. "Have I not made myself clear, or are you pretending not to understand? I've encountered many women Like you before. They feigned uniqueness to garner attention and gradually try to worm their way into our family. After all, it's all about the money for your kind, isn't it? Tell me. How much money will it take for you to leave Xavier alone?"

Felicity frowned as she heard her mother's proposition, and she immediately rejected the idea. “Mom, she doesn't deserve our money!"

Hannah, determined to maintain control of the situation, subtly hinted at Felicity to remain silent. "Miss, it's merely a coincidence that I met you today. However, if we were to cross paths again in the future, I can't guarantee that I will be as pleasant as I am today."

"Mrs. Hinchcliffe, is this how you deal with all the women who come into your son's life?" Claudia asked in a bored and disinterested tone.

Felicity and her mother misunderstood what Claudia meant and believed that she was boasting.

“Why are you acting so proud? Humph!" Felicity was astounded by Claudia's audacity and had never met someone so unabashed in her entire life.

Hannah was also furious. She cast a cold gaze at Claudia and remarked sternly, “If you insist on being unappreciative, don't blame me for being rude!"

As she observed their reactions, Claudia spoke deliberately. "I'm not sure of the context in which your son brought up my name, but I must clarify that I don't have any romantic feelings towards him."

"You claim to have no romantic interest in him? That's hard to believe, considering you plotted to get close to my brother and seduce him. Are you trying to feign innocence now?"

Felicity snorted. If her mother hadn't stopped her, she would have poured the juice on Claudia's face as an act of contempt.
