Chapter: 1240
Felicity was right. Xavier had a reputation as a playboy, known for frequently changing girlfriends.

It was the women who actively pursued Xavier, and he passively agreed to their advances. It was also the women who proposed to break up with him. Felicity knew that the breakups never affected Xavier because he didn't take the relationships seriously from the beginning.

Yet Felicity knew this time was different. That was why she became anxious when Xavier spoke up for Claudia in the hospital that day.

After all, he didn't say anything when Felicity talked about his girlfriends before.

The more Hannah Listened, the more ashamed she felt. Her son had fallen for a married woman who didn't reciprocate his feelings. Yet she had misconstrued Claudia's intentions, thinking she aimed to marry into their family.

"I don't want to hear about it anymore! And if you ever come across her, you stay away, understand?”

“But why?"

“Why do you still have to ask? She's not the one pursuing your brother. He's smitten with her! Aren't you ashamed of what we said to her?"

Felicity remained skeptical. "How could she not like my brother?"

"Do you honestly believe your brother is so irresistible that no woman can resist him?’

“But..."

"That's enough! Consider yourself Lucky that she is not a part of our social circle. If this were to get out, how could I face my friends?"

Felicity didn't believe her mother's words, convinced that Claudia was lying.

She remained determined to uncover Claudia's true intentions and expose her for who she was.

"Cece, is everything alright?" Joann asked with concern as Claudia approached.

Touched by the concern, Claudia offered a reassuring smile and a shake of her head. "It's nothing serious. I just went there to hear a joke."

"What joke?"

Claudia turned to Felicity and her mother, saying, "They're the daughter and wife of the chairman of Toryea Group. '"

Joann was confused. “What? What's this all about? Why did they approach you?"

"They gave me a warning to stay away from Xavier."

"What? That's insane!" Joann's eyes went wide with shock, and she let out a gasp. “Are they trying to pin some blame on you? That's not right. I need to give them a piece of my mind!"

Joann was fuming, ready to confront them, her sleeves already rolled up.

Claudia quickly pulled her back and said, “Forget it. I talked back just now. They might also feel embarrassed.'"

“No, Cece, you're too kind with your words. Your curse was too soft.
