Chapter: 1243
By the time Claudia returned to the villa, it was already 4 p.m. She changed her clothes and headed to the piano room, ready to dedicate some time to practice.
Following a practice session of one and a half hours, Claudia was hungry. She stood up from the piano and made her way downstairs.
Marcia was busy in the kitchen, and Bennett hadn't returned home from work yet.
After quenching her thirst with a glass of water, Claudia suddenly recalled the business gifts that Bennett had brought for her from a trip he had taken earlier.
Bennett had initially placed the mango candies in the guest room where she had stayed when she first moved in. However, since then, she had moved to the master bedroom but inadvertently left the candies behind in the guest room.
Feeling a sudden craving for the mango candies, Claudia hastily placed her glass down and dashed up the stairs.
It dawned on her that she hadn't revisited the guest room since she had moved into the master bedroom with Bennett.
As Claudia entered the guest room, she couldn't help but reminisce about the emotions she had experienced when she first moved in.
At that time, she had never imagined that she would end up with Bennett.
It was at the same time that they had signed their marriage agreement.
As she pondered these thoughts, Claudia raised an eyebrow and felt an overwhelming urge to locate the marriage agreement.
If she remembered correctly, she had placed it between the music scores, specifically in the seventh book.
However, when she checked, it wasn't there.
Failing to find the agreement, Claudia frowned and took all the manuscripts from the bookshelf.
She finally found it in one of the manuscripts.
As she held the marriage agreement in her hand, she gently traced her fingers over the letters, experiencing a strange and indescribable feeling.
The more Claudia gazed at the marriage agreement, the stronger her desire to laugh became. She read the document carefully before returning it to its original position. She made a mental note to frame and display the marriage agreement on the wall as a cherished memento on their future wedding anniversary.
But for now, she thought it was best to leave the marriage agreement as it was.
She returned it to its original place on the bookshelf.
After putting the agreement back, Claudia found the mango candies and brought them back to the master bedroom.
When she descended the stairs once again, she noticed that it was growing dark outside.
Glancing at her watch, she realized that it was already 6:25 p.m.
Bennett should be back anytime now.
As Claudia was thinking about Bennett, she heard a sound emanating from the front door.
