Chapter: 1244
Quickly setting down her cup, she stood up and rushed to the front door.

As anticipated, Bennett had returned home.

Bennett was changing his shoes. As he bent down, his glasses remained firmly on the bridge of his nose. He had a prominent and refined nose that exuded an air of elegance and distinction, especially with the glasses on.

Claudia walked over and took the coat from him. “Why are you wearing glasses today?"

As far as she knew, Bennett only wore glasses when he worked on the computer at home.

"There was a video conference today," he explained, his arm encircling her waist.

Claudia felt self-conscious, knowing that Marcia was still in their home. So she placed her hands in front of his chest and gently pushed him.

Her attempt to push him away was unsuccessful, as he only held her more tightly. She found herself leaning into him, almost losing her balance.

Bennett lowered his head, and Claudia could feel the warmth of his breath on her cheek.

Her face flushed, and a sensation of heat washed over her as she gazed at him. With his glasses on, Bennett appeared as a captivating and charming figure, reminiscent of an alluring rogue dressed in a refined gentleman's suit.

Merely gazing at him was enough to stir up impure thoughts in Claudia's mind.

In April, when Claudia had a car accident and lay in the hospital, Aurora brought her a lot of romantic novels to help pass the time.

Perhaps it was because Aurora had a penchant for men with a dark side, but Claudia had read seven or eight books that Aurora had sent her. In each of these novels, the male protagonists appeared chaste and virtuous on the surface but harbored a secret and intense Lust within them.

Furthermore, Claudia noticed that in all of the novels she read, the authors tended to describe the male protagonists wearing glasses during their intimate encounters with the female leads.

Claudia swallowed and blushed.

Observing her slightly flushed complexion, Bennett leaned down and planted a kiss on her forehead. He then released his grip on her and inquired, "How did the chat with your assistant go?"

"Good. But there's a problem."

Claudia hesitated, feeling a slight sense of embarrassment about saying it.

"What problem?"

Just then, Marcia emerged from the dining room. Seeing the couple together, she smiled warmly and said, "Mr. and Mrs. Dreskin, it's time for dinner."

"I'll tell you after dinner, okay?" Claudia said this after hearing Marcia's announcement.

Bennett looked down and nodded.

“Let's eat first," Claudia suggested, swiftly heading to the dining room with Bennett's coat in her arms.

In her haste to escape further questioning, Claudia had forgotten to hang up Bennett's coat. When she reached the dining table, she suddenly realized that she was still clutching it in her arms.
