Chapter: 1254
Before, Marcia used to call her Cece, but at some point, it became Mrs. Dreskin.
Claudia was accustomed to it and chose not to dwell on these minor matters.
After her meal, Claudia took a leisurely stroll in the garden and then made her way to the piano room for some practice.
At the end of October, the coldness of autumn began to appear in Linmarsh. The morning sun gave off a deceptively warm glow, but the breeze carried a definite chill.
Before sitting down at the piano, Claudia slipped into her room to put on a thin sweater for warmth.
With a clear schedule for the day, she focused on catching up with her piano practice, making up for lost time.
When the clock struck five, she stopped her practice, switched off her timer, and went to change her clothes. It was time to drive to Segarine Group and pick up Bennett from work.
She wasn't a wishing well, but Bennett rarely asked for anything, so she was eager to accommodate this small request.
Well, she was really a devoted wife.
Marcia finished her work and left the villa around three in the afternoon, leaving Claudia by herself.
As she drove out of the garage, it hit her that Bennett had a personal driver.
Rethinking her plan, she parked the car back in the garage and hailed a cab to Segarine Group instead.
This was Claudia's first visit to Segarine Group since becoming Bennett's wife six months ago.
The receptionists spotted her from afar. Before she could approach, they greeted her. "Mrs. Dreskin."
A bit flustered, Claudia managed a composed nod. "I'm here to see Bennett. I don't have a meeting scheduled. Is it okay if I go up?"
"Absolutely. Jackson told us you have an open invitation to visit anytime."
“Please, this way, Mrs. Dreskin.”
One of them quickly approached the special elevator reserved for high -level executives, opened its doors, and stood by, ready to assist Claudia.
Claudia didn't anticipate such exceptional treatment, but she decided to follow the receptionist to the elevator.
As soon as Claudia stepped into the elevator, the receptionist hit the floor button without needing to ask.
After confirming that she had stood properly, the two receptionists positioned themselves formally at the doors, hands folded neatly.
"Mrs. Dreskin, you'll be taken to the level of Mr. Dreskin's office."
“Thanks a lot."
The doors began to close slowly, and Claudia watched the floor numbers on the screen.
