Chapter: 1272
His eyes flickered at her question. Wrapping his arm around her waist, they started walking.
“Claudia, are you suggesting we start a family?"
At this, Claudia's cheeks turned a deep shade of red.
Hearing his words, Claudia got distracted and stumbled over herself.
Bennett hurried to steady her and inquired, "Did you sprain your ankle?"
"No."
Her face was aflame with embarrassment, and her cheeks glowed a deep red hue as she contemplated his earlier query.
“Then shall we go home?" he asked.
She nodded without meeting his gaze.
Observing her slightly flushed face, Bennett grinned and held her hand without saying anything more.
Claudia stole a glance at him, noting the absence of expression on his face.
How could he be so composed?
He was the one who shamelessly asked the question!
By the time they arrived home, it was already 9 p.m. Claudia found a vase for the rose and placed it on her piano.
Though just one rose adorned the vase, the arrangement exuded simplicity and beauty.
After taking in the beauty of the lone rose delicately positioned on her gleaming piano, she returned to her room, feeling content. In the meantime, Bennett had thoughtfully prepared a comforting glass of warm milk for her.
"Thank you." Claudia accepted the milk and took a sip.
Just then, Bennett's phone rang.
He was about to sit down, but after glancing at it, he stepped onto the balcony to answer the call.
After drinking all the milk, she paused momentarily and placed the glass on the table.
Draining the glass in one gulp, she remained unaware of the milk mustache on her upper lip.
After answering the phone, Bennett returned and noticed the milk mustache on Claudia's lip.
"Cece," he called out.
“What?” She stopped by the wardrobe and turned to face him.
