Chapter: 1279
Bennett glanced at Jackson again, but surprisingly, he didn't reprimand Jackson. Instead, he said gently, "Jackson, you will meet the right one too."

It was the first time Jackson heard his boss say such words. For a moment, he was stunned.

When he finally came to his senses, Bennett had already walked to his office. Jackson hurriedly followed him.

He wasn't wrong. The CEO was really in a good mood today.

Realizing what this entailed, Jackson asked his assistant to find all senior executives who needed a signature from Bennett.

Since the CEO was in a good mood, he was more accessible than usual.

Segarine Group's senior executives were all long-term employees who had worked for the company for several years. So they knew the CEO's temperament very well. Since Jackson asked his assistant to inform them to come meet with the CEO if they needed anything, they would not miss this opportunity.

So all the senior executives who had documents requiring Bennett's signature rushed to the CEO's office with the documents in hand.

The company's executives ran into each other in the elevator. Of course, they all knew what was going on.

It turned out that Jackson had guessed right. The CEO easily granted his signature to all the executives who requested it. Everyone who came out of the CEO's office was happy.

This was a good day to them.

Claudia didn't know these things and she had never had a chance to know either.

But today was indeed a good day. Even though it was raining, she had taken a break from her piano lessons to find a message from Aurora.

Aurora had finally received an offer from the company she had been hoping to hear from.

It was indeed great news for Aurora; she had yearned to work for Veecci for a long time. She had applied and unfortunately Lost out on that chance once when she was fresh out of college.

Though Aurora had found herself another job, she had still been sending her resume to Veecci for the past three years. But she never got a call back from them even though her resume turned out to be much better than when she had just graduated.

Every time the HR manager coaxed her to wait for news at home, she would anticipate the call for several days. She had a resignation drafted and ready to be delivered to her current boss, but it sat there in her mail, collecting dust, for several years.

But her patience had finally bore fruit, She had finally gotten the offer. Today was really a good day.

Claudia was also genuinely happy for Aurora and because she could not think of anything else to get her, she transferred a sum of money as a congratulatory gift into Aurora's account.

It seemed as though Aurora was busy at the moment for she did not reply immediately.

Phone in hand, Claudia strolled to the window and peered out at the drizzling rain. A blush crept over her face as she reminisced about the scene earlier when she had sent Bennett out this morning.

How could she have said that?

She lifted her hand to shield her face, trying to ward off further thoughts. Getting up, she descended the stairs to the kitchen, poured a glass of water, and intended to head to the study for some reading.

As anticipated, she accomplished a lot after rising early.
