Chapter: 1299
"Okay." She nodded.

As soon as she looked at Breck for an answer, he touched his nose and remarked, "I'm not going to be the third wheel. You two can enjoy your candlelight dinner. I'll find a single guy to accompany me instead!"

Claudia blushed and glanced at Bennett shyly.

Taking her hand, Bennett glanced at Breck with indifference, stating, “He is jealous.”

Breck stared at him, flabbergasted.

Couldn't Bennett understand what he meant?

Forget it. For the sake of his wife, Breck wouldn't argue with him this time.

"Well... I'm leaving!" Aurora said with a small smile. Then she left first.

“I'm leaving too!" Breck said quickly, glancing back at her. Then he waved his hand and trotted away.

Claudia watched them leave for a few seconds before turning to gaze up at Bennett. “What should we eat tonight?"

When she went out this afternoon, she had informed Marcia that she and Bennett wouldn't be home for dinner.

Consequently, they had to eat out because there wasn't anything prepared at home.

Bennett stared at Claudia and asked softly, "Is there something you would like to eat?"

It was the month of November, yet it felt as though it was still the season of seafood.

Claudia blinked her eyes and said, "Hmm, I think seafood would be nice."

Bennett chuckled and placed a hand on her forehead and rubbed it lightly. "Is crab congee okay?"

His voice was gentle and soft. His eyes, filled with affection, were beautiful to watch.

Although the touch was very brief and light, it was inexplicably romantic.

Claudia's ears were fully red. She pursed her lips slightly and nodded.

With that, Bennett took her to his car and then drove her to a restaurant.

It didn't look like a restaurant at all. As Claudia followed Bennett into the restaurant, she couldn't help but appreciate the level of work that had been put into making the restaurant unique.

Even if the restaurant was to stop selling congee, people would still troupe in to appreciate the design. It would definitely make a lot of money if it was a tourist spot.

The congee was soft and sweet. It was light years ahead of the porridge she and Aurora had before. They weren't even comparable.

Claudia wasn't one to fully go through a bowl of congee. However, she couldn't get enough of this one. As they went back to the car, she knew she was going to need some help digesting the contents in her stomach.
