Chapter: 1344
“Where's my phone?" ALL she wanted was to check the time. After rummaging around for it, Claudia suddenly realized it was still resting on the table downstairs.
As she thought about the phone, a cascade of memories from last night flooded back into her mind.
Flushed with shyness, Claudia paused her thoughts, sensing a warm rush of blood in her ears. She shifted her focus to the window, trying to distract herself.
The weather seemed kind of bad today. All gloomy and cloudy, with that autumn vibe of bleakness.
It felt Like the temperature had dropped once more.
She just didn't feel like getting out of bed in this chilly weather.
With that in mind, she couldn't resist rolling over in the quilt.
Surprisingly, Bennett walked into the room right after she did that.
Claudia was so embarrassed that she wanted to crawl out of the quilt.
But she had just rolled around in it, and now she was stuck, like a silkworm in a cocoon.
Getting out of the quilt wasn't exactly easy for her at the moment.
Bennett glanced at Claudia all wrapped up in the quilt in the bed, his eyes Lighting up with a soft smile.
He leaned over, fixing the quilt for her and said, "Just roll back like you did a moment ago."
Claudia's face flushed with shyness, but to escape the quilt, she had to roll back as Bennett instructed.
After getting out from under the quilt, she swiftly sat up. Her face now a deep crimson, she mumbled, "I'm going to wash my face and brush my teeth."
Bennett quickly pulled her back to him. He had just finished a run, and even though he wasn't wearing much, his body felt warm.
"It's getting cold. Toss on your coat first."
Feeling a bit chilly herself, Claudia obediently nodded at his words and replied, “Alright.”
Bennett handed her the coat, watching as she slipped it on. His gaze then lingered on her legs. "Don't move. I'll fetch you some trousers."
Claudia glanced down and stayed still under the quilt.
After a while, Bennett came back, holding a pair of trousers in his hand.
Raising an eyebrow, she mulled it over. Pursing her lips, she wondered if changing her pants in the bathroom was a little inappropriate.
Bennett checked her out for a bit, then shrugged and headed to the bathroom.
Claudia exhaled a sigh of relief and smoothly slipped into her pants beneath the quilt.
