Chapter: 1345
Certainly, it was getting colder outside.
They didn't have any plan today. Since the weather wasn't great, Bennett didn't take her out. Instead, she spent her time practicing the piano.
At noon, a brand-new phone landed on her doorstep. Swiftly inserting the SIM card, Claudia responded to Aurora's message from Last night.
"My phone broke, and all my chat history has disappeared."
Aurora was left speechless by this text message.
The buzz about Bennett bringing flowers to the company had fizzled out by yesterday. Fortunately, it was losing popularity, and it had plummeted from the trending topic.
Claudia cast a furtive glance as she let out a sigh of relief.
She didn't stay up too late last night but wasn't feeling Like leaving the bed early this morning either, especially with the perfect weather tempting her to catch some more sleep.
With a yawn, Claudia glanced at Bennett lounging on the sofa, walked over, and dropped onto the seat, Leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I want to take a nap. What about you?"
Bennett ditched his phone and snuggled her in his warm arms. “How about we take a nap together?"
He lifted her in his arms.
“Marcia is at home," Claudia mumbled, her voice now tinged with shyness.
"No worries. Marcia is taking a nap."
Blushing, Claudia hid her face in his arms, countering, "No, she isn't!"
Bennett scooped her up and headed upstairs, returning to her room.
The room remained unclaimed throughout the morning. The opened windows allowed the gentle breeze to dance freely within.
As Claudia opened the door, the sudden chill caressed her skin, unconsciously sending a shiver down her spine in Bennett's arms.
Observing the subtle move of her gestures, Bennett's gaze descended upon her. He closed the door with his leg, settled onto the bed, cradling her within the circle of his arms.
Yearning to break free from his arms, Claudia attempted to let loose herself. However, she was held by his griping hands on her back.
She blinked slightly as her eyes came to meet his. "I would like to put on my pajamas."
"ALL right."
He nodded in reluctant agreement, but his grip on her tightened as if afraid that letting go would unravel the fragile threads of connection between them.
He dipped his head, planting a kiss on Claudia's lips. In response, her heart quickened its rhythm, a symphony of emotions echoing in the silent space between them.
