Chapter: 1347
As his words moved through the air, he passed the phone to her.
"Breck's throwing out the dinner and card invitation for tonight."
Claudia seized the phone but resisted the temptation to inspect it immediately. "Peeking into your chat history would be a breach of privacy, wouldn't it?"
There was a flurry of messages buzzing in the chat group, and she noticed when she glanced at it.
Upon catching wind of her words, Bennett let out a playful chuckle.
“I'm all yours. How could it possibly be inappropriate?"
A rosy hue crept across Claudia's cheeks as she uttered, "Well then, let me have a peek."
It marked her inaugural venture into Bennett's conversational past with his friends. As her eyes traced the chronicles of banter and camaraderie, a sudden eruption of laughter could not be contained when the quirky name of their chat group revealed itself.
Most of the time, they did not communicate much. Breck was the one who sent on weaving messages.
Bennett just said, "I will listen to my wife."
As Claudia laid eyes on the response, a surge of warmth flooded her cheeks, turning them into a rosy hue.
"Are you done?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Her head bobbed in agreement, and she gave the phone back to him.
"I went through it."
"By the way feel free to respond to him. Are you in the mood to set off or not?"
Feeling her cheeks warm, Claudia hesitated before asking, “Should I reply?"
Her embarrassment was palpable.
With a smile, Bennett responded, "Yes."
Just as she was about to type "Okay," Breck threw in a curveball about Bennett. “Does your wife know about this?" A screenshot was attached to the message.
Initially, Claudia intended to hand the phone over to Bennett so he could see Breck's message for himself. However, by mistake, she tapped the screenshot, zooming in for a clearer view.
It detailed last night's news.
With a blush, Claudia glanced at Bennett and relayed, "Breck sent you a message."
"What did he say?" he inquired.
Overcome by embarrassment, she simply handed him the phone.
