Chapter: 1351
Claudia hit the sack after a quick shower.

Not until the second day at eight in the morning did she wake up to find it raining outside.

Last night around midnight, Breck messaged her asking if she knew where Aurora's new gig was. He was itching to catch up.

Curiosity niggled at Claudia, but it was Breck's business so she just shot him the address without prying further.

Just as she sent the text, Bennett strolled in. "Morning!"

She gave a sleepy nod, clutching the covers. “It's freezing."

Bennett was all decked out in black today, looking serious in the chilly weather.

As he settled, Claudia rose and hugged him. “It's pouring and so chilly this morning.”

Bennett tucked her in tighter. "Do you want breakfast brought to bed?"

Blushing, she mumbled, “I just want to stay like this a bit longer. I'll get up soon."

Bennett grinned down at her. "You call the shots, babe."

Claudia blushed harder, burying her face in his chest.

Suddenly, her phone lit up-Breck had replied.

“Why's Breck hitting you up?" Bennett asked.

Claudia whipped out her phone and flashed him their chat.

Bennett skimmed it and advised, “Just brush him off."

"It's kind of rude. He's tight with Aurora, isn't he?"

“If they're buds, why not hit Aurora up directly?"

Claudia hesitated. "But..."

Her words trailed off as Bennett's logic sank in.

“You've got a point!" With that, Claudia slipped out of his embrace.

“I'm going to go and freshen up."

Bennett handed her a coat. "Put this on. You'll freeze otherwise."

Nodding, Claudia shrugged into her coat and headed for the bathroom.
