Chapter: 1350
They stayed up late because Sunday was on deck.

Claudia's luck tanked. Without Bennett's aid, she'd tank soon.

Around eleven, she started nodding off and needed a bathroom break, but Bennett cut in, "This is the last round, folks."

Hearing this, Breck grumbled, "It's barely eleven and it's Sunday tomorrow so no work!"

Duncan smirked. "Not everyone's flying solo on weekends Like you, mate."

Breck wanted to fire back but drew a blank. "As if you've got company."

Since Bennett wasn't into it, the game wrapped up.

Breck suggested grabbing food but Bennett split with Claudia.

Outside the joint, Claudia let out a big yawn.

The night air hit her like a cold shower, snapping her out of it.

Bennett guided her to the car, opening the door.

Once she buckled up, she glanced at him sideways. "Do you have silly stories?"

That question had been itching her brain all night.

Claudia couldn't fathom what kind of dirt Bennett might have.

“No." Bennett turned to her. “Do you think I'd even have any?"

Feeling awkward, she mumbled, “It's hard to picture."

Bennett gently touched her cheek. “How about you? Do you have silly stories?"

With a guilty conscience, Claudia looked away. "No, not a chance."

She'd been squeaky clean. There was no room for shenanigans.

He chuckled. “Let's head home."

"Sure thing."

Claudia nodded, feeling her cheeks warm.

She couldn't bring herself to meet his gaze, too caught up in her own guilt.

Claudia and Bennett didn't hang out with Breck for snacks overnight, but it was nearly midnight when they got back home.
