Chapter: 257
This seemingly simple question was a difficult one for Claudia. It caught her off-guard.

"Well... Bennett doesn't really have any favorite food. Just don't cook anything substandard or too sweet. He had a lot of mushroom soup for lunch, didn't he? I think he likes it a lot. You could make that again."

A discerning look appeared on Marcia's face after listening to that. Perhaps she realized that Claudia couldn't be of help to her, so she spun around and went into the kitchen.

Claudia breathed a sigh of relief. Acting as a dutiful wife was much harder than she thought it would be!

As she patted her chest, she subconsciously turned her head, only to see Bennett walk in majestically.

Bathed in the glow of the Light behind him, Bennett made his entrance, his form outlined in a dramatic silhouette.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Dreskin.”

The entrance had a glass ceiling, and as Bennett stepped in, sunlight streamed onto his face, softening the harsh chill in his eyes.

Yet as he ventured deeper into the room, away from the sunlight, a sudden coldness emerged in his demeanor.

However, as he approached Claudia, the frosty glare in his eyes melted away entirely.

A stack of papers Lay before Claudia. "My assistant has compiled a List detailing my interests and pet peeves.”

Caught off guard, Claudia remembered their earlier conversation and quickly accepted the papers. "Oh, okay."

Accepting the documents, she was bewildered.

Did Bennett have so many hobbies?

There were a minimum of 30 pages

“Thank you."

“You're welcome.”

Bennett gazed at her for a moment before abruptly asking, “Do you know how to swim?"

Claudia responded with a nod. "Yes, I used to. I even took part in the provincial swimming team trials during my middle school years..."

Suddenly conscious that she had over-shared, Claudia felt a wave of embarrassment. Touching her heated earlobe, she looked at Bennett curiously. "Why do you ask?"

“No reason. There's a pool in the mansion. Feel free to use it whenever you like."

Being a recent resident of only two days, Claudia hadn't thoroughly explored the sprawling mansion. Without Bennett's disclosure, she would never have known there was a pool.

“Alright, understood.”

Bennett nodded before saying, “I‘m off for a swim. Let me know if you need anything."
