Chapter: 256
“I have many social functions lined up. You will have to be my date, so you'd need a lot of dresses. That's where this card comes to play." Bennett glanced at her and added.

His statement made sense. There was a whole lot she needed to buy to look elegant enough beside him at functions.

Since he insisted, she had no choice but to accept the card.

She wanted to assure him that she would spend his money wisely. But when she opened her mouth, a yawn escaped. Her eyes also became droopy. "Go to take a nap. You need it," he said, looking at her intently. Claudia still wanted to say something, but she stopped on second thought.

It wasn't until she got into her bedroom that something struck her. She had gone into Bennett's room and then walked out richer than ever. Now, she also had a bank card wherein sat only God knows how much!

Bennett was so generous. What a good man! Claudia was all smiles as she changed into her pajamas and lay down on the bed.

Although she hadn‘t stayed up late last night and she woke up at seven this morning, she still felt so sleepy now that it didn't take long before she dozed off.

It was windy outside. Since the French window was opened, the room was cool even though the air conditioner wasn't on.

Claudia slept like a baby and even had a good dream.

In the dream, Bennett transferred all his properties to her. He said that since she was now his wife, she had a right to whatever he owned. He also made her his next of kin.

She saw herself accepting everything without hesitation. In another scene, she sent someone to withdraw one hundred million dollars in cash. It was sent in a bullion van. The stacks of mint cash almost covered her room. She sat on it and Laughed excitedly.

Suddenly, a ringtone broke the silence in the room. Claudia's eyes peeled open. She was still in a good mood as she reached out her hand to touch the corner of her mouth.

She still had on a face-splitting smile.

The second she sat up on the bed, she thought of what happened in her dream. Her face then changed.

That wasn't a good dream! No, it was a terrible one!

Did she rob Bennett of everything?

How could he transfer all his property to her name just like that? “How could you have been so happy? Are you a gold-digger?" Claudia slapped her head and ruffled her hair for daring to have such a dream.

After seconds of reprimand, she got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash her face. She became sober the second the cold water hit her face.

Claudia changed into casual clothes in preparation for a walk. It was about five o'clock now. So, the weather was a bit cooler than it was in the afternoon.

Her right leg wasn't fully healed yet, but she felt it was strong enough for her to go for a walk in the garden.

As though she had been waiting for her, Marcia appeared from the kitchen as soon as Claudia got downstairs. She asked what she would like to have for dinner.

When Claudia remembered how her actions almost cost Marcia her job earlier in the day, she waved her hand. "Anything will do. Just note that Bennett doesn't Like sweet foods."

"Mrs. Dreskin, please could you tell me his favorite food?"

Marcia asked, looking at Claudia as if the latter was some potential savior.
