To add insult to injury, the staff member Lightly kicked Claudia. While Claudia was normally patient, she wasn't one to be pushed around. She suppressed her initial reaction, her voice icy as she demanded, "Who is in charge here? I'm Claudia. I want to speak to the person responsible."

Hearing Claudia's name seemed to make the staff member uneasy. But Patty Rivera's entrance distracted her, leaving Claudia disregarded once again.

As Joann was about to launch into another tirade, Claudia held her back.

Casting a final glance at the staff member's badge, Claudia committed her name to memory.

Even Claudia, who seldom ventured online, was familiar with her name. Patty was an acquaintance of Mathews Gomez, and she had sprung into stardom five years earlier after winning the Newcomer Award. Ever since then, her fame had been ever-growing.

The scale of the event suddenly made sense. Patty's attendance was sure to make the charity show a resounding success.

“Miss Rivera, you must be weary. We appreciate your presence on such a hot day. Please, have some water," offered the previously rude staff member, now fawning over Patty as though she was Patty's most Loyal servant.

Claudia found the scene amusing.

A chuckle escaped her Lips, causing a break in the conversation. Patty, perched in front of a vanity mirror, surveyed the room until her eyes landed on Claudia. With a dismissive sniff, she said, "The organizers shouldn't invite just anyone to this event."

“Claudia, isn't it?"

Patty's gaze settled on Claudia. "Don't let a few international awards inflate your ego. I suggest you maintain a low profile!"

At Patty's reprimand, Claudia's smile vanished. She regarded Patty with an icy stare before responding, “Miss Rivera, if you have such contempt for my awards, why don't you go and win a few of your own?"

Claudia's words were laced with mockery.

“If you can't, then kindly shut up. Ignorance isn't the issue. The issue is not recognizing one's own ignorance!"

Patty was taken aback, unused to such retorts. She retaliated, “Who are you calling ignorant?"

Claudia took a sip from the water bottle Joann handed her and calmly stated, "Whoever takes offense at my statement.”

She exchanged knowing glances with Joann who was suppressing a giggle. The two were quite evidently enjoying Patty's annoyance.
