Chapter: 311
“Good. Any other objections?"

There were a total of 27 clauses in the agreement. Party A had 13 terms to Party B, and Party B had 14 terms to Party A. Each section basically had the same terms, except for that one clause. Most of them were all reasonable.

The extra clause in question was the one about Party A bearing Party B's expenses which she had already spoken about.

After reading through, Claudia had no reservations. She shook her head and said, “It's all good now." Bennett took the document from her and made the modification on his computer. Then, he printed it out again.

There were two copies. Bennett signed directly and put them in front of Claudia. "You should read through them before signing. The Lawyer is already downstairs. I‘1l ask him to come up to notarize it once you append your signature.”

Beguiled by his efficient attitude, Claudia sighed and stared at him with bright eyes.

“It's alright."

“In that case.."

Bennett whipped out his phone and called the lawyer.

It took the lawyer less than a minute to come up to the study. Then, he witnessed the signing of the document and also recorded the process for legal evidence.

Bennett was hovering over Claudia as she bent down to sign the document. A light wooden scent wafted into her nose. It smelled good, but she couldn't tell what exact scent it was.

After she was done signing, she Looked up at him and asked curiously.

“What perfume are you wearing?"

It smelled better than any strong scent she had ever perceived. Glancing at her, Bennett placed one of the documents on his desk and then handed her the other one. "Here you go. Keep this safe, okay?"

The Lawyer had left without being told. Now, Bennett and Claudia were left alone in the study.

A grimace suddenly appeared on Bennett's face. He pinched his shirt and took a sniff of it, pondering on the question Claudia just asked him “Why do you ask? Is it too strong?"

Claudia shook her head and said, “Actually, no. I just think that both the top and heart note smell so good. I can also perceive a faint wooden fragrance, which I can't make out yet.”

"Oh, it's the cedar."

The next second, Bennett bent over. The woody scent instantly became thicker.

Claudia's throat caught a short gasp. Her heartbeat seemed to seize as she froze for a moment. Bennett was right next to her, and when he bent over, there was barely an inch between them. One move forward and their bodies would be touching.

Just as a scream went up in Claudia's mind, Bennett smiled smugly and took the phone that was next to her.

Claudia finally resumed breathing. With her hand over her heart, she added, "It smells nice."

"Thank you,"

Bennett replied lightly.
