Chapter: 345
Impossible!

Jolie and a host of others firmly believed that Claudia had pushed Zaria into the pool. They were not ready to believe otherwise. No one was more confused than Claudia. She even began to suspect that Zaria wasn't in her right mind.

Didn't Zara jump into the water just to frame her? That was how it always went down in novels, wasn't it? The same thing was portrayed in TV dramas.

Why was Zaria not sticking to the script again? Not only did she make it clear that Claudia didn't push her, but she also stated that she owed her life to the accused!

Claudia, who was standing behind Bennett now, felt Like a fool for the first time in her over two decades of existence.

Zaria wrapped herself with the towel someone handed to her. She ducked her head and looked at Claudia.

“I'm so sorry for frightening you tonight."

A gust of wind blew at this time. Zaria sneezed hard. After sniffing a few times, she continued, "It would kill me to see you catch a cold. Please go change into something dry and warm. I'll come to show my gratitude to you later."

With that, she bowed again and left with the help of her friend. Claudia's mind was in a muddle. She had just escaped being roasted, but this was still weird. What?

That was all?

The matter ended just like that?

There was nothing more to come? How could that be?

At this time, the eldest and second son of the Moreno family showed up after word got to them. They stared at Zaria's receding figure and then at Claudia who was dripping wet. They also exchanged confused glances.

They had run all the way here, thinking that a conflict had already broken out. Since they were expecting to break a fight, they were puzzled to see that it was already over.

Was it really over? Or did a fight never break out?

The eldest of the two brothers acted quickly anyway. He ordered his younger brother to usher the onlookers back into the banquet hall. Then, he asked one of the attendants to take Claudia away and help her change into something else.

“This way please," the worker said to Claudia and Bennett.

The crowd soon dispersed. Bennett placed a towel over his jacket which was already on Claudia. The next second, he picked her up with ease.

Claudia had barely recovered from the shock Zaria gave her. When she found herself in Bennett's arms, she was dumbfounded.

Subconsciously, she wrapped her arms around his neck. It was not until Bennett took a few steps that she realized something.

“I'm wet..."

"I know," Bennett uttered, Looking down at her with a serious face.

“That's why you need to take a hot shower and get changed."

“That's not what I meant."
