Chapter: 344
“What happened here? Zaria, are you okay? How did this happen?”

Zaria, who was sitting on the pool deck, coughed and spat out mouthfuls of water.

Before she could bring herself to speak, the woman who had screamed bloody murder walked out from the shadows. "It's all Claudia's fault! I saw what happened with my two eyes. She pushed Zaria into the pool! Thank goodness I happened to pass by at that moment. If not, Zaria would have drowned right here!"

“Claudia must be out of her mind! She attempted to kill Zaria? And for what? A man? Attempted murder is against the law. Did she think that her position as Mrs. Dreskin will be secured after taking out Zaria? What a she-devil!"

“She's such a vicious woman! I have never seen a more vicious being. No wonder the Dreskin family refused to accept her as a member of their family. Who would want a demoness as a daughter-in-law?"

“Someone call the police! This is a case of attempted murder. She must not get away with this!"

The onlookers already started berating her. Nonetheless, Claudia was unwilling to exchange words with them. She had planned to wait until Bennett came to her rescue. But when she heard the last statement, she sneered, "Go ahead, call the police!"

That obviously triggered the so-called victim. Zaria stopped coughing, stood up, and said, “Let's not blow this out of proportion. There's no point calling the cops."

Jolie stepped forward and held Zaria'’s arm.

“Oh, dearie. You shouldn't be so forgiving now. You have a soft heart, but this vicious woman almost killed you. Don't let this slide. Allow us to call the cops so they can deal with this matter ASAP."

To everyone's surprise, Zaria pushed Jolie's hand away and said, "You guys are mistaken. I fell into the pool myself. Of what use is the police to me now?"

After a pause, she looked at Claudia and smiled at her. "I owe my life to Claudia. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be standing here right now. She saved me."

She then bowed to Claudia as if to say thank you.

At this time, Bennett arrived at the scene in a hurry. He walked up to Claudia's side, took off his suit jacket, and draped it over her shoulders.

Claudia Looked back when she smelled that familiar scent.

She felt relieved to see him. She pointed at Zaria and started, “Bennett, she—"

Her words was cut off by Zaria's seemingly sincere bow.

Claudia's jaw went slack. Words failed her now.

Bennett held her outstretched hand and squeezed it. Then, he glanced at Zaria and asked in a deep voice, “There wasn't a dent on my wife when she Left to talk to you out here. But she ended up getting soaking wet. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

“It's my fault, Bennett. I'm so sorry. I accidentally fell into the pool. Your wife saved me. If I could have it another way, I would. Please don't be mad at me.”

Jolie had experienced a lot in her Lifetime. However, tonight's drama was the first of its kind.

She took a look at Claudia and then looked at Zaria.

“Why are you speaking Like this? Are you scared?"

How could Claudia be Zaria's savior?
